TOEFL
For the TOEFL, a minimum score of 90 (internet-based; 577 on the paper-based) is required for visa certification. The exam must be taken by December 15, 2017, in order for scores to be considered for admission. Test scores are valid for two years from the exam date.
Applications with IELTS or TOEFL scores lower than the minimum will not be reviewed. Therefore, it is advised that prospective applicants wait to submit their applications until they recieved their test scores and know they have met the requirement (with the caveat that all applications are still due on December 15).
IELTS

GRE
There is no minimum GRE score required to apply.Have your official GRE scores sent from ETS directly to MIT. The institution code is 3514 and our department code is 2703. Please also be sure to enter your scores and upload a PDF of your score report in section 7 (Test Scores / Experience) of the application. The exam MUST be taken before December 15, 2017, in order for your application to be reviewed.
