Minimum 3.0/4.0 GPA. Applicants with a cumulative undergraduate point hour ratio below 3.0/4.0 are required to submit Graduate Record Examination (GRE) General Test scores to the Office of Graduate and Professional Admissions. The Graduate Studies Committee may also request that candidates with cumulative point hour ratios above 3.00 submit the results of the GRE General Test.

A nonrefundable $60 fee for U.S. students and
$70 for international students is charged for each
admission application you submit to Ohio State
for graduate study. You may pay the application
fee using a credit or debit card (Visa, Master
Card or Discover).
RL
Three (3) Letters of Recommendation. Letters should be submitted electronically on institutional letterhead. Each must include a completed copy of the approved University form and at least 1 of the 3 must be from an academic reference (e.g., department chair, classroom instructor, undergraduate/graduate advisor).
Transcript
Copy or scan of all official transcripts, front and back of each page. Advising reports, web reports, self-reported scores, or transfer credits on another school’s transcript are not acceptable. Scanned transcripts, whether received through Central Application Services (CAS) or directly from the applicant, will be used for evaluation purposes and the calculation of GPAs. If the applicant is admitted by our program, the admission will be held as provisional until an official, final transcript is received by the Office of Graduate and Professional Admissions. Applicants do not need to send additional grade transcripts to the Department of Civil, Environmental and Geodetic Engineering.
