The College of Engineering is organized into a number of departments focusing on today’s most pressing engineering questions. There is an interdisciplinary culture at the core of Gator Engineering, though, and researchers regularly collaborate with colleagues in departments and colleges beyond their own.The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering offers the Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy degrees, and offers graduate study and research in computer engineering, devices, electromagnetics and energy systems, electronics, and signals and systems.
The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering offers both thesis and nonthesis options for the master’s degrees.
All prospective doctoral students must take the written part of the Ph.D. qualifying examination within the first year of enrollment. Other requirements for the doctoral degree, as well as requirements for master’s and engineer degrees.
