The Artie McFerrin Department of Chemical Engineering at Texas A&M University graduate program is ranked 16th among public institutions (by U.S. News & World Report) and offers students a unique educational and research experience. All of the Ph.D. students in the department are supported by their research advisors with a generous stipend that includes medical benefits (note that the cost of living in Texas is much cheaper than in other states).
Research within the department is highly interdisciplinary in nature with students interacting closely with faculty. Visiting scholars, industrial partners, and collaborations with other departments create a simulating environment for research. State-of-the-art computer labs and research equipment are available throughout the department providing students and faculty the tools to perform high-impact, challenging research.
