Students in this one-year master’s program will gain a rare depth of understanding of emerging media from a social science perspective. In addition to the fundamentals of media technology and applications, the program concentrates on research methods and the latest techniques in data analysis. Students can focus on a particular topic of interest including data visualization, telecom policy and law, or media and social interaction, among others. Included in the program is exposure to practices in organizational applications of social media and experience applying research to solve practical problems.
