The business community expects successful tax professionals to have knowledge and capabilities beyond that of a tax-technician only. The ILLINOIS MS Tax Program’s innovative curriculum is driven by this need. Integrated into the rigorous technical tax courses are concepts that examine tax in a strategic business context, workshops that focus on professional skills, and lyceums that engage tax leaders. This approach enables our students to broaden their business perspectives, develop professional skills that will differentiate them from their peers, and expand their professional networks to include well-known national tax leaders – all of which combine to make them more “complete” tax professionals.
