Reviewing the whole process, I should say the most difficult step is data processing. A large volume of data was retrieved from the CFPS (an authoritative and reliable family-oriented questionnaire designed by Peking University). My ensuing operations were as follows: I selected the three sub-questionnaires from the latest database with a total of 200-page questions; after referring to the manual, I determined 15 lines of data that were set as independent variables, as well as the young&rsquo;s purchasing behaviors as dependent. Through simple data processing like excluding missing values and winsorizing abnormal ones, I retained 6482 pieces of data about groups from 18 to 35 (age). Making full preparations, I furthered my data processing (normalization, one-hot code, mapping) and witnessed the power of AI in data analysis. At first, I clarified the distribution rules of the &ldquo;shares&rdquo; label and drew the histogram, based upon which I summarized the data features and conducted descriptive statistics. Likewise, by cleaning and pre-processing data, I separated the label and performed logarithmic transformations among data with maximal values over 5000. PCA and random forest generating the model, I cross-checked its validity and accuracy after integration with stacking. Such high efficiency in sorting out data impressed me deeply and stimulated the seed to sprout.</span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="color: #262626;">&nbsp;</span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><span class="p" style="color: #262626;">這一段經(jīng)歷雖然沿用QF的實(shí)習(xí),但是在具體表述上各有側(cè)重。統(tǒng)計(jì)學(xué)這里沒有具體從宏觀的行業(yè)范疇去講,步驟上沒有太大差別,但是卻呼應(yīng)開頭「接觸前沿的統(tǒng)計(jì)工具」,也再次證明「我」對(duì)統(tǒng)計(jì)分析的熟練程度</span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><br /><span class="p" style="color: #262626;">Stepping out of the ivory tower, I directly secured an internship at China Life Reinsurance Company. Every day I was busy with obtaining data from the Alipay application, data screening &amp; analysis with R, and descriptive statistics about the settlement of claims and causes of diseases. In addition, I also observed how expert data analysts capitalize on machine learning for data prediction, which once again proved the potential of modern statistical technologies. In my opinion, digging out valuable information from complicated data is worthwhile, which clears my vocational objectives.</span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="color: #262626;">&nbsp;</span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><span class="p" style="color: #262626;">同樣,實(shí)習(xí)這段也是重點(diǎn)保留了數(shù)據(jù)處理和分析相關(guān)的細(xì)節(jié),同時(shí)補(bǔ)充了數(shù)據(jù)分析在先進(jìn)統(tǒng)計(jì)分析技術(shù)支持下的高效和價(jià)值的提升。</span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><br /><span class="p" style="color: #262626;">Now the seed has bloomed, so I am resolved to undertake the position of data engineer at highly-competing companies like Alibaba Group, ByteDance, and Tencent. These Internet enterprises, pursuing innovation and vigor, must engage themselves in various projects, from which I can hone my Python, R, and allied technologies and try to make feasible business plans. In the coming 5 years, I shall try my best to obtain the CFA and CPA certificates, dedicating myself to investment decisions, quantitative analysis, and product design. Carefully browsing through the curriculum, I find your program aligns with my career aspiration perfectly.
