TOEFL
A minimum score of 250 on the computer-based TOEFL, or a minimum score of 94 on the TOEFL iBT, is required of all international students whose native language is not English.
IELTS
You may submit scores from the Academic Modules of the International English Language Testing System (IELTS).UC Irvine only accepts scores submitted electronically by the IELTS test center. No paper Test Report Forms will be accepted. An overall minimum score of 7 for admission, with a score of no less than 6 on any individual module.
GRE
Minimum GRE scores of 310 (quantitative plus verbal), or minimum combined MCAT scores in Verbal Reasoning, Physical Sciences, and Biological Sciences of 30 (a minimum score of 8 on each section) are recommended.

GPA
A cumulative GPA of 3.20 during undergraduate study is recommended for admission into the Biomedical Engineering program.
Fee
Your application cannot be reviewed until UCI has received your non-refundable application fee. ($105 for U.S. Citizens and lawful U.S. Permanent Residents; $125 for all other applicants).
RL
Three letters of recommendation are required to be submitted on your behalf. Letters may be submitted online or on paper via regular mail; online submissions are strongly preferred. Please refer to the Letters of Recommendation website for submission methods.
Transcript
Submit one transcript for every post secondary program attended.
Unofficial transcripts can be emailed to the BME department to bme@uci.edu for admission review purpose.
Students who are admitted to the graduate degree program will need to submit official transcripts in order to complete the admission process. Official transcripts must be in sealed envelopes as issued by the school(s) you have attended.
