TOEFL
For the TOEFL exam, international applicants must obtain a minimum score of 80 on the Internet-based Test (IBT) or 550 on the paper-based test (PBT).
IELTS
The requirement for the IELTS exam is an overall minimum score of 7 for admission, with a score of no less than 6 on any individual module.
GRE
The general portion of the GRE is required for all applicants. UCI does not require a minimum score on the GRE.

MS Applicants: A cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 during undergraduate study
Fee
The application fee is $105 for U.S. citizens and lawful U.S. permanent residents, and $125 for all international applicants beginning for the Fall '17 quarter of admission.
RL
We recommend that at least two letters be from academia. The third could be another letter from academia, a supervisor, a mentor, etc.
Transcript
Submit one official transcript for every post-secondary program attended. Official transcripts must be in sealed envelopes as issued by the school(s) you have attended. Request current transcripts from every post-secondary school that you have attended, including community colleges, summer sessions, extension programs, and MS programs. If you have attended UCI, you must request an official transcript; we cannot obtain them on your behalf.
