TOEFL
International students who do not have English as their native language must demonstrate proficiency in English by taking the TOEFL or IELTS test. Minimum acceptable scores are 600 for the paper-based TOEFL, 213 for the computer-based TOEFL, 90* for the internet-based (IB) TOEFL. *MS and MA students can be admitted with an IB TOEFL of 85 but are then not eligible for TA support.
IELTS
International students who do not have English as their native language must demonstrate proficiency in English by taking the TOEFL or IELTS test. Minimum acceptable scores are 6.5 for the IELTS.
GRE
The general Graduate Record Exam (GRE) is required.

In addition, M.S. and Ph.D. students should provide an indication of both the specific research areas they would like to address and potential faculty advisors. Obtaining a position in specific research laboratories is very competitive, so applicants are encouraged to contact potential advisors prior to submitting their application.

Completion of a B.A. or B.S. with a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.0 (B);

The application fee for 2017 (Spring, Summer or Fall admission) is $100.
