PS Please write a brief essay on the following subjects concerning you and your intended field of study: Your past work on relevant issues; What excites you most about your chosen field of study; Possible areas of research you might pursue; Any research projects you have completed with faculty; Any faculty member’s research that is of interest to you; Any other information you would like to provide to the admissions committee. We are particularly interested in any projects that you pursued with a faculty member who is writing a letter of reference for you. GPA We do not require A minimum GPA (grade point average) CV Your resume or CV serves as a good supplement to your statement of purpose and other application materials. In it, you can summarize all of your qualifications, honors, educational accomplishments, and interests. It provides the admissions committee with additional information to better evaluate your candidacy. Fee $125 application fee RL We require three letters of reference with your application. In selecting your referees, choose individuals who can provide an overall evaluation of your readiness and potential to succeed as a doctoral student and ultimately as a researcher and professor. Our faculty prefers that all reference letters be written by academics. They can be your instructors, your advisors, or, in the case of applicants who hold teaching jobs, your colleagues. Transcript Your transcript tells the admissions committee a great deal about who you are as a student. We require that you upload your official transcript from each institution that you list in your online application. Your uploaded transcripts must: Be an official transcript issued by your institution Include the front and back of each page of the transcript If your transcript is in a language other than English, please include an English translation.Upload your transcripts with their accompanying translation as part of your application. We accept translations issued by the institution or a professional translation service. Translations must be literal and complete versions of the original records.
