A personal statement approximately two pages in length. Suggested topics include an applicant’s motivations for studying law, their greatest accomplishments, or a significant obstacle they have overcome. However, applicants can write about whatever topic they choose. Somewhere in the statement an applicant is asked to briefly address why they are interested in Mizzou Law. We do not recommend explaining any legal or educational issues associated with an applicant in their personal statement. If needed, those issues can be addressed in a separate addendum.An applicant may submit any separate addendum as necessitated by the application.
CV
A resume. Recommended information includes: education, employment, activities, community service, volunteer efforts, etc. An applicant’s resume can be as many pages as required to adequately express accomplishments, activities, etc.
Fee
Pay the $60 application fee
RL
Two letters of recommendation (up to four are accepted), preferably from professors or individuals who can attest to an applicant’s academic abilities. There is no specific form required for letters of recommendation. Letters can be submitted through CAS (recommended) or directly to the Mizzou Law Admissions Office.
