TOEFL
Official scores from the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or International English Language Testing System (IELTS) are required of all graduate applicants, regardless of citizenship status, whose native language is not English or who have been educated in countries where English is not the native language. Applications will not be processed until the required TOEFL or IELTS score is received. The TOEFL and IELTS scores are valid for two years from the test date. The minimum TOEFL score accepted by the University is 80 (iBT) or 550 (paper-based). The institution code for the University of Denver is 4842. The minimum IELTS score accepted by the University is 6.0. Graduate Teaching Assistants (GTAs) must demonstrate fluency in spoken English by scoring a 26 on the TOEFL speaking section or 8.0 on the IELTS speaking section.

The Graduate Record Exam (GRE) is required. Additionally, RMS will accept any standardized testing scores (i.e. GMAT, MCAT, MAT, etc.) Scores must be received directly from the appropriate testing agency by the program’s stated deadline. DU’s ETS Institution Code is 4842.

Fee
$65 Application Fee. The application fee may be paid with a credit card only at time of submission. You cannot pay the fee online once you have submitted your application. The application fee may also be paid on a bank draft or personal check drawn on a U.S. bank.*
RL
Each applicant will be asked to provide the names and email addresses of two (2) recommenders on their online application*. One academic and one professional reference is preferred, but not required.
*Please note: An email requesting a letter of recommendation will not be sent to the recommenders until the applicant clicks ‘submit’ on their online application. Your recommenders will be required to submit their recommendations online.
Transcript
Each applicant is required to submit one (1) copy of unofficial transcript from all college/universities attended. They can be uploaded as supplemental materials in .pdf format after you submit your application.
Upon admission to the program, each applicant must send one (1) copy of official transcripts (signed and sealed) from all colleges/universities attended to the following address:
