TOEFL

IELTS

GRE
Graduate Record Examination scores must be submitted for the verbal section of the general test; the subject test score in Literature in English is optional.A copy of your GRE Verbal and Analytic score report (for PhD applicants, Subject test scores are recommended, but not required, as well), to be uploaded electronically. Applicants who do not upload their GRE scores will not be considered.A score of 153 or better on the verbal section of the general test of the Graduate Record Examinations (GRE). Your statement of purpose (maximum 500 words) should include your qualifications for professional study in the field and your likely specializations or interests, if you know them.
GPA
An undergraduate grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.50 or, if the student has 3 or more graduate seminars in English, a graduate GPA of 3.50 or better.
Fee
There is an application fee of $70 for domestic applicants and $90 for international applicants.

Letters of recommendation from three people familiar with the applicant’s academic background and intellectual abilities; applicants provide their names and email addresses. Referees will be contacted automatically via e-mail with requests to provide recommendations. (There is a one-week grace period after the application deadline for electronic receipt of letters of recommendation.)
Transcript
Copies of undergraduate and, if appropriate, graduate transcripts uploaded electronically. The university’s Admissions Office (1217 University of Oregon, Eugene, OR 97403-1217) requires hard copies of official transcripts at the time of application.
