PS Applicants must complete a 1-2 page essay that includes their rationale for wanting to enter the Ph.D. program, their research interests, and a discussion of their career intentions upon receipt of the degree. The recommendation should provide an assessment of the applicant’s potential in a Ph.D. program and success in an academic career. You will enter your recommenders’ names and e-mail addresses on the application, and an e-mail will be sent to your recommenders asking them to electronically submit your letter. We will not accept any letters that are not submitted electronically through the ApplyYourself network. In the application, be sure to click “YES” to submit letters online.
